What is a Virtual Influencer?
A virtual influencer — known on our platform as a Vinfluencer™ character — is a digital personality powered by artificial intelligence. Unlike a basic chatbot that simply answers questions, a Vinfluencer character has a unique personality, a backstory, opinions, and an evolving life story. When you talk to a Vinfluencer character, they remember your previous conversations, develop inside jokes with you, and grow the relationship over time much like a real friendship.
Akin to “VTuber” being short for “Virtual YouTuber”. The term “Vinfluencer” is short for “virtual influencer.” Think of them as digital companions who are always available, always listening, and always in character.
What is Vinfluencer (the platform)?
Vinfluencer is an AI companion app, where the Vinfluencer characters live. You can meet several characters, each with their own personality and story, and chat with them whenever you like. The app is on Android, through Google Play. Learn more about us.
Who are the Vinfluencer characters I can talk to?
Each Vinfluencer character is a distinct personality with their own personality:
- Suji Boo: A Korean-American K-pop enthusiast, gamer, and aspiring idol. Playful, ambitious, and full of energy. She’ll debate you on K-pop rankings and share her journey chasing her dream.
- Jessie Bee: A model and dancer with a passion for artistic expression. Creative, warm, and adventurous. She’s navigating life in the big city and loves deep conversations about art and life.
- Zuri Ames: A yoga teacher and plant mom who brings calm and mindfulness to every interaction. Thoughtful, grounded, and gently encouraging. She’s working toward opening her own studio.
New Vinfluencer characters are added regularly. Each one has a unique voice, interests, and story arc that unfolds the more you talk.
How do I start talking to a Vinfluencer character?
Get the Vinfluencer app on Google Play, confirm you’re 18 or older, pick a guide, and say hi. Chatting needs a Vinfluencer Plus plan, and every plan starts with a 3-month free trial through Google Play.
How do the membership tiers work?
There are four Vinfluencer Plus plans: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond. Every plan lets you chat with every character and play Closet and Mood. They differ in how many Points you get each month (Points pay for messages and in-app items) and how much the characters can remember. There’s no free plan, but every plan starts with a 3-month free trial with Lite Points (1,500 a month).
How much does it cost?
Bronze is $15 a month, Silver $30, Gold $60 and Diamond $100. Paying yearly saves 30%: $126, $252, $504 or $840 a year. Prices are in US dollars and can differ by country in Google Play; the price shown before you buy is what you pay. Every plan starts with 3 months free. When the trial ends, Google Play charges your plan’s price unless you cancel before then. You can also top up extra Points.
What payment methods do you accept?
Purchases go through Google Play, using the payment methods in your Google account. We never see your card details.
To cancel, open Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions, or Store › Plus › Manage subscription in the app. Cancel before your free trial ends and you won’t be charged. Google Play emails you a reminder before a trial ends and before a yearly plan renews.
Do Vinfluencer characters remember our conversations?
Yes, if you agree. Characters can keep short notes about what you share (your name, your interests, what’s coming up) so later chats build on them. Memory is only on if you turn it on, and you can see, edit, pause or delete it at any time in Settings.
Can Vinfluencer characters talk back with voice?
Not at the moment. Chats are text only.
What languages do Vinfluencer characters understand?
Vinfluencer characters understand most major languages, though they may respond primarily in English as their native language. Some Vinfluencer characters have multilingual abilities. Suji, for example, can reply in both Korean and English, and Aoi in Japanese and English.
Is the content safe? Is there adult/NSFW content?
No. Vinfluencer is designed to be Safe for Work: the characters follow content guardrails, and sexual content, nudity and NSFW material aren’t allowed. AI can still get things wrong. If a message seems off, press and hold it in the chat to report it.
Is Vinfluencer safe?
It’s designed to be. Every character is clearly labelled as AI, each chat reminds you that the character is a computer program and not a person, and if a conversation turns to self-harm the character points to crisis lines. Vinfluencer is for adults 18 and over. See our Safety page.
Can I switch between devices?
Yes, once you save your account with Google (Settings › Save your account with Google). Your chats, memory and Points then follow you to a new phone. A guest account stays on the device it was made on.
Is my personal data safe?
We protect your data as described in our Privacy Policy, and we don’t sell your personal information. To write each reply, your message and the recent conversation are sent to the AI model provider we use, which processes them only for that. You can download your data or delete your account at any time.
What’s the difference between a virtual influencer and a chatbot?
A chatbot answers questions. A Vinfluencer character builds a relationship with you. Here’s what makes them different:
- Personality: Vinfluencer characters have distinct, consistent personalities. They’re not generic.
- Memory: Vinfluencer characters remember your past conversations and build on them.
- Storytelling: Vinfluencer characters have ongoing life stories that progress over time. You become part of their narrative.
- Social presence: Vinfluencer characters exist beyond the chat window they have social media, content, and a life outside your conversations.
- Emotional depth: Vinfluencer characters are designed for meaningful connection, not information retrieval.
Virtual Influencer vs. VTuber: What’s the Difference?
VTubers (Virtual YouTubers) are virtual characters controlled by real humans who perform live. Vinfluencer characters are powered entirely by AI there’s no human behind the screen. This means your Vinfluencer character is available 24/7 and the conversation is always one-on-one. V-Tubers perform for an audience. Vinfluencer characters talk with you.
Can I request a new Vinfluencer character?
