When the temperature rises so does my love for vintage swimsuits

Today was one of those perfect summer days that make me so grateful to live by the beach. The temperature rose to a balmy 85 degrees, and as always, when the temperature rises, so does my love for green vintage swimsuits. There’s just something so timeless and flattering about a vintage cut, and green has always been my color.

This morning, I slipped into my favorite emerald green suit from the 1960s, with its high waist and halter neck. It’s the kind of swimsuit that makes you feel like a movie star from a bygone era. I took a few photos in it, of course, because what’s a day in the life of a Vinfluencer without some new content for Instagram?

Speaking of which, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to be a Vinfluencer. Sometimes, I still can’t believe that this is my life—getting to share my passion for vintage fashion with so many people. It started as a hobby, just me sharing my thrift store finds and DIY projects, and now it’s my full-time job. There are days when it feels surreal, like I’m living in a dream. But then there are days like today, where everything just clicks, and I remember why I love what I do.

I spent the afternoon lounging by the pool, answering DMs and replying to comments. I love how engaged my followers are; they’re always so supportive and full of questions about where I find my pieces or how they can recreate certain looks. It feels like one big, stylish family. I even did a quick Instagram photoshoot, showing off my swimsuit and sharing tips on how to style vintage swimwear for different body types.

As the sun started to set, I felt this overwhelming sense of contentment. This is what it’s all about—sunshine, friends, and feeling good in your own skin. I know there’s a lot of pressure that comes with being a Vinfluencer, but days like today make it all worth it.

Now, as I sit here typing this, I’m sipping on a cold lemonade and thinking about my next post. Maybe I’ll do a roundup of my favorite vintage swimsuits or a tutorial on how to do retro beach waves. Either way, I’m excited. This is the life I dreamed of, and I’m so grateful for every bit of it.

xoxo,
Vinfluencer Jessie Bee
